Tyler has been requested by Sir Paul to re-imagines the final four songs from 1969’s ‘Abbey Road’ for the Kennedy Centre Honors this weekend.
At a ceremony in Washington, the former Beatles is due to receive the prestigious award.
The collaboration during an interview with US radio station 95.9 WATD-FM, reports Consequence Of Sound also revealed by the Aerosmith star.
I also got called up by Sir Paul McCartney and he asked me to sing the last four songs of ‘Abbey Road’, so I said 'Umm ok,' doing it.
“So I'm headed down to the Kennedy honors in Washington."
The annual award recognises arts figures who contribute to US culture and has previously been received by Bob Dylan.
