Aerosmith's Joe Perry won't be walking this way to Venezuela.Instead of heading to a Feb. 1 show in Caracas, the 58-year-old lead guitarist detoured to a hospital for emergency knee surgery, forcing the Hall of Fame band to cancel what would have been its first gig in the country.

A band rep says Perry had a total knee replacement last March. But due to complications, he required a second operation, stat. The "Sweet Emotion" purveyors are planning to reschedule the concert as soon as Perry's bum knee heals and the band has room on its calendar.“Playing Venezuela was my idea of a perfect way to start the New Year," frontman Steven Tyler said in a statement. "But having heard Joe had to revisit the hospital this month, the band are truly disappointed we can’t be in Caracas, and we hope to see everyone there soon.”
