Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Refuses To Join Led Zeppelin

Opportunity to join Led Zeppelin has been turned down by Aerosmith's singer Steven Tyler.

To replace Robert Plant as Led Zeppelin's frontman offer has been rejected by Tyler.The singer was asked to audition for the band by Jimmy Page's manager Peter Mench.

He [Mench] said Robert wouldn't play with them again, and would I want to come over and jam with the guys? I went over and played," Taylor told Howard Stern Radio Show.

He added: "[I said] 'No.' I'm in Aerosmith. He's in the biggest band in the world and I'm in a band like that. I have such an allegiance to my band and I love it so much."

Steve Tyler also confirms that he currently wants to start working on a new album but that he can't locate guitarist Joe Perry.

Steven Tyler: Aerosmith is still kicking


Steven Tyler revealed that his Bandmates provide him a difficult time when they found about he was going to be a judge on "American Idol."

He says he took the job because "there's nothing worth doing that's not worth overdoing."

He also expressed that Aerosmith is still together and working collectively.

He also informed that band Aerosmith are working on the new album and they have an overseas tour set for November.

Tyler told that he's very qualified for the job to be on judging panel on American Idol.

He says he came from the era where you had to blow the other bands off the stage and he's been judged his entire life.

Steven Tyler Wants to Record New Aerosmith Album


Steven Tyler has exposed his wished to record new album with Aerosmith but he and Joe Perry aren’t singing the same tune.

“I don’t know where he is, but just come down to L.A. at the end of January sometime. I’ve had enough downtime,” Tyler tells Rolling Stone.

In recent the relationship has been tense despite touring together for longtime.A previous attempt to record the band’s first new release since 2001’s “Just Push Play” stalled.

Singer Steven Tyler said: "We're having trouble getting Joe [Perry]. I don't know where he is." Given Perry has publicly criticised Tyler for joining the American Idol judging panel, he's probably still sulking (Rolling Stone).

Tyler believes Aerosmith can move past its current problems and the issues his “Idol” role raised.

Aerosmith frontman Jimmy Crespo Parts Ways With Van Dahl

Former Aerosmith frontman Jimmy Crespo is searching for a new vocalist after firing rocker Chris Van Dahl from his new band.

Crespo, who replaced Joe Perry in Aerosmith from 1979 to 1984 and signed the former L.A. Guns singer to front The Jimmy Crespo Project but now the group has parted ways.

According to the Crespo statement, "It is important to the band to find a singer with his own identity who can also do justice to the Crespo-era Aerosmith songs."

In Las Vegas Crespo's band play with rockers Sin City Sinners on 11 January.
