Earlier this year the singer published his memoirs Does The Noise In My Head Bother You? - has revealed that he has rights to the book The Da Vinci Code and A Beautiful Mind by director Howard's production company has purchased.

Tyler told Women's Wear Daily about the likelihood of a film biopic: "It’s either as soon as the plane goes down, or in my lifetime. I’m thinking since Ron Howard bought my book, his production company is thinking about doing something."

He continued: "My book is called 'Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?' It’s collected thoughts. It’s all this shit I’ve been thinking about for 40 years. This whole thing with Aerosmith has been like a dream come true. It’s like it’s been plotted out and planned and written about before. Every time something happens, I think, 'Is this a movie?'"

The book was published in the May's famous revelation that Tyler tried gay sex, but only once as he is "didn't dig it."

Aerosmith are working over a new album in the studio.

The Walk This Way band has been appear at Joe Perry’s home studio, The Boneyard, and at their main recording location Pandora’s Box.

About the sound of the recording, producer Jack Douglas mentioned: "This album will be raw, nasty, tough rock with a good deal of the old Aerosmith 'tongue in cheek.'"

However, Douglas also stated: "The new album should be out around May 2012. I know that's a long wait, but after the South American tour and Japan in October, November and December, we will just get back to work on it in mid-January."

Aerosmith's latest album, still untitled release since his 2004 disc of covers Honkin’ On Bobo and their first of original material since 2001’s Just Push Play.

While Steven Tyler and Perry have not commented about the album, bassist Tom Hamilton said on the band’s website via a videotaped message: "For those of you who don't know who Jack is, he's the guy who we worked with, producing our best albums of the '70s — 'Get Your Wings', 'Toys In The Attic' and 'Rocks'. And it's really gonna be cool, because there's no one that knows more about the soul of this band and the creative part of this band [than] Jack. We worked with him on 'Honkin' On Bobo', but that wasn't all original material — most of that was not original material. This time it's gonna be all-new Aerosmith songs."

Producer Jack Douglas's busy tour schedule the band's first album had come a long delay in recording the reason:

"The new album should be out around May 2012. I know that's a long wait, but after the South American tour and Japan in October, November and December, we will just get back to work on it in mid-January.

"For those who are asking, this album will be raw, nasty, tough rock with a good deal of the old Aerosmith 'tongue in cheek.'"

Aerosmith Tom Hamilton on his neck cancer is recovering

Aerosmith rocker Tom Hamilton on his neck cancer is recovering after undergoing surgery.

The bassist fought and won a battle with oral cancer in 2006 but the disease returned and spread to his voicebox.

Hamilton sought help from specialist Dr. Steven Zeitels and he was a radical new laser procedure previous week in San Antonio, Texas Jeep cancer cells.

The star admits that surgery was risky because it can return to his voice completely.

He tells KSAT.com, "I was just terrified. I really thought, 'Oh, I am looking at not being able to talk.'"

Fortunately, the operation was successful and Hamilton has not lost her vocal abilities are grateful.

He says, "The second I had a tiny bit of consciousness, the first thing I did was make a sound, and it felt normal, and it sounded normal."

Hamilton is now resting ahead of Aerosmith's upcoming tour of Mexico, South America and Japan, which kicks off in October.

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has announced details about his new solo single.

His new solo single is '(It) Feels So Good' which features vocals from ex-Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, will be released on 11th July 2011.

It follows the release of Tyler's debut solo single 'Love Lives' previous year. The track acted as the theme song for Japanese movie Space Battleship Yamato.

Beginning of the month. Perry confirmed that the band's guitarist and producer Jack Douglas also are planning to work with.

US legendary rock band Aerosmith will perform in Peru at Lima's San Marcos stadium on Saturday, October 22 for second time, the band have turned to Latin America.

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler 20million $ (£ 14m) spent on drugs

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler spent $ 20million (£ 14m) on drugs, he revealed, cocaine and heroin itself from spending so much money being almost penniless.

Tyler admitted to People magazine, "Left to my own devices I probably would have been dead several times over".

Tyler said that in his eighth term rehabilitation that he realized in 2009 was not one of their children after an emotional appeal is always serious about the need.

"When my son looked me in the eye, crying, and said, 'Dad you were so high last night and I was afraid', I needed that," he explained.

"My best thinking got me back into rehab, so I gotta keep my thinking in check and keep going to meetings."
